Klara’s History
Emigrating alone from the Czech Republic when she was only 19 years old,
Klara Sotonova came to the United States with a desire to make her dream
of owning her own business a reality. With the founding in 2006 of Klara’s
Gourmet Cookies that dream has come true.
Originally from the town of Chrast, a village of approximately 5000 residents
2 hours east of the historic Czech capital of Prague, Klara and her family did
not have easy access to mass produced baked goods such as we do in the
United States. Due to Communist Governmental control her exposure to the
rich Czech baking tradition was passed down to her from her grandmother
as it had been in her family for generations. It is that tradition that she now
brings to you.

Our mission and our goal at Klara’s Gourmet Cookies are to bring to you our
customers the finest in traditional Czech Cookies. We only utilize the finest
ingredients, crafting all of our products with great care, in order to insure that
you are completely satisfied with your purchase.

was proud to be a part of Construct's May
Fest. Construct Inc is a local not for profit
oganazation who's mission is to provide
housing support and educational services
to persons of low and moderate income in
the southern Berkshire region of
